#i'm laffing

i’m going back to school in the fall and it was mentioned to me that i might need a certain vaccine

i got this vaccine in 2008 so i was like cool. done. did that.

i called my doctor’s office and had them pull my vaccination records and print them out for me.

then i went on my school’s website to double check everything and i realize it has to be within the last 5 years. damn.

i book an appt to get this vaccination! it’s been a hot minute since i went to the doctor and damn now everything is online!

i check in online and can even pay my bill online??? wow. i pay $25 copay that it tells me i owe for this appt BEFORE I EVEN GO TO THE DR. this is the future kids.

i go to the appt. everything is good. i’m leaving and i’m like “heyyyyy jsyk i paid online”

and they are like “but this was free? you didn’t have a copay? also no refunds sry”

so i am like oh well. $25. it’s not the end of the world. this is about my future. a small price to pay.

i take my piece of paper. the vaccination record. that sweet sweet documentation that this has all been about.

i scan it in. i make it into a pdf. i go through the extremely complicated process of logging in to the vaccination-submission site.

and there, on that damn site, it says “btw haha. please do not do this if you are over 22. you don’t need the vaccine. this legislation does not apply to you.”
