ok so one of the things im obsessed with, are like ghosts and unfinished business stories?
in this particular movie, mav is seen as the character which is 'bad', while ice is 'good' (in the case of following orders and doing what they're told). the thing isβ mav is a character which does not mean any harm and just needs a bit extra time to adjust to what is needed from him. mav is a character who is magical and caring, and if there could be someone who changed the world, bent the universe to their will, it would be him.
plus i love the tragedy. what if they met at a different time, in different circumstances. mav does not need to 'prove' himself, while ice feels unchallenged (both in his flying and his beliefs).
