Kinn wants absolution, he wants to hear from Porsche that "it's all fine" but Porsche refuses to give this to him, to pretend it was okay and that he's okay now. That's killing Kinn right now because he knows he was wrong but did not care about the consequences at the time or did not think there would be any. Let's see if in the next episode when they'll be in a more equal field in the forest Kinn will finally face his own actions and the harm he caused Porsche.
I really, really hope we get that.
Because Kinn definitely wants this to be something less than it was and he wants it to be swept behind the punishment and swept behind letting Porsche go with Tankhun and he wants it forgotten so he can move on but what the axe forgets, the tree remembers.
Porsche cannot forget what was done to him. He's still in that moment, still caught in that drugged haze, still worried about his own reactions and it's so painful to see.
I hope that Porsche can get his pain across to Kinn and that Kinn can, eventually, truly be the person that Porsche deserves. Even if he never totally can be... he can at least come close.
I think Kinn's biggest problem is that he's never had to face a situation where the specific issue was him, personally, and involved his own emotions. He feels guilt and remorse and it's all new to him and he has no idea how to handle it. So he's just been jumping from offered solution to offered solution to moment to moment in the hopes everything will solve itself.
He gives Porsche a day off and then takes it back the instant his father tells him that he should be punishing him and then gives Porsche blanket permission to go with Tankhun and acts like it's no big deal for him to go and the waits up for him to get home and then tells him he owns him and then he demotes him and then he rushes after him when he's gone and Kinn is literally grasping at straws because his own guilty conscience won't stop or leave him alone.
I really think that being forced to face his actions and the consequences will make a huge different between Porsche and Kinn and how they move forward. Kinn needs to accept his guilt and show Porsche his remorse so they can start to move on from what happened and into the next part of the story.
This will not go away. But it will change. They will change.
