Okay. So somewhere along the line I managed to add an extra two chapters to my outline. Mostly because a chapter grew too long and I cut it in half.
But now, I’ve gone from 29 chapters to 32 chapters and my midpoint (which is outlined as chapter 15,) is now taking place in chapter 17 (possibly 18,) which means it is no longer in the middle of my novel. (I also need to add another scene before this hits so...)
Hopefully I’ll add a couple more chapters in the second half of the novel so everything is back to where it should be. Otherwise I’m a little screwed.
Maybe it’ll just fix itself if I stare at it long enough.Â
