-Peter Crushing on Bad Girl whose Friends with MJ
My Masterlist
"Did you see that? She just like jumped out of the window and did a roll! I didn't know anybody could do that in this school except me?" Peter whispered to Ned as he caught up to him in the hallway. "She just like-" His hand went up in the air and came down quickly and indicating her fall.
"She's the new girl?" asked Ned.
"Yea, just moved in last week. She's friends with Michelle already, maybe we could get introduced by her!" Peter plotted.
"You don't actually think that Michelle would introduce her to us do you?"
Peter thought about it for a minute. "No I guess she wouldn't." he finally said with a bit of disappointment in his voice. Peter was silent for only a few moments before he went back to y/n.
"But it's weird you know, she's totally badass but she doesn't look like she would be! To me she looks like the stereotypical flower girl, like she wears floral patterns and girly colors. Wouldn't you expect her to wear like leather jackets or combat boots and skinny jeans? I actually don't think I’ve ever seen her wear dark colors. She always has bright stuff. You know y/n looks really pretty in yellow, but she looks the best in pink, it just like looks really pretty on her."
"Dude," Ned waves his hands in front of Peter's face to catch his attention. "You need to bring the fan boy down a few notches, okay? She's going to hear you are she'll freak out. If she's as bad ass as you say she is, you probably don't want to happen, right? Plus how many times did you just say ‘like’ in your speech. You’re starting to sound like that girl in PE.”
“Good point. But did I tell you about yesterday when Flash-”
Peter was abruptly cut off by the sound of a motorcycle squealing into the school parking lot as Peter and Ned exited out of the building.
“Who in Midtown has a motorcycle?” asked Peter frowning as he racked his brain.
“Speak of the devil.” said Ned gesturing to the answer to Peter’s question: y/n jogging up to the two wheeled death trap. The driver handed her a helmet which she placed on top of the perfectly styled black hair. Peter could see her lips moving but even he couldn’t hear what she was saying over the sound of the engine. Y/n waved to a few of the girls she’d been talking to earlier then nodded to the driver who sped out of the lot.
Peter just stood there shocked for an entire minute. Ned also stood there shocked but it wasn’t because of the new girl, no he was in shock because Peter was silent. Peter, who never stops talking, even (especially) when he should stop talking, was struck silent. Like his jaw on the ground silent. Ned had never seen Peter do that before. Momentarily stunned, sure, but never frozen.
“She just-just-she’s- did you see tha- she just-”
Ned smiled mischievously thinking about the trouble he was about to stir up. “Oh I forgot to mention, y/n is my partner for Mrs. Montgomery’s class and she’s getting dropped off at my place later this afternoon so I can’t come to yours today, sorry Peter.”
Peter’s head did a full 180 degree turn that would embarrass an owl, this time his jaw was actually hanging open. Ned stifled a giggle as he continued on, he wanted to see how long it would take before Peter cracked.
“I think she said she was coming around 4:30 but depending on when her brother had to go to his friend’s house she might be a bit late. Did you know that y/n has the same dorky button in her locker that you have on that old backpack from middle school? The one with Pikachu, anyways she-”
“Hold up one minute! You talked to y/n!!!” Peter screeched unnaturally, arms flailing in every direction. “When did you talk to her? How many classes do you have with her? Do you think maybe she needs a tutor? What about science? Do you think she needs a tutor in science? Does she have a boyfriend?” Peter threw out questions at Ned like rapid fire. “No she won’t have a boyfriend; any guy here would get scared of her within twenty seconds of talking to her. Girls are way braver than boys. Wait! Did you say she’s going to your house?!?!”
Finally Ned lost it and broke down laughing. He was laughing so hard he had to sit down to catch his breath. Peter at this point had little sympathy for his friend’s foolery knowing full well that Ned would be fine once he’d replaced the missing air in his lungs.
“You mean to tell me,” Peter put his hands on Ned’s shoulders. “That y/n is going to your house, TODAY!” Ned still couldn’t speak at that point so he just nodded while wiping tears from his eyes. “You let me talk to you about her as if you haven’t even seen her yet and you failed to mention that you’ve made arrangements to hang out with her? Unbelievable Ned! Some friend you are!”
New who had finally managed to get his breathing somewhat steady again grabbed Peter’s arm before he could walk away. “Yeah she’s staying for dinner. Is my mum putting an extra plate down for you too? We could pretend that I forgot to tell you she was coming over.” Ned suggested.
“Yes!” Peter said maybe a little too eagerly. “I’ll come by around 5:15?” he said with a little bit more control.
“Sounds good bro.” Ned replied with a fist bump. “Do you think she’d like to meet Spider-man?”
“Don’t even joke. God she’s so perfect!” Peter sighed contently with the image of y/n’s smirk playing in his mind.
