What the hell?
What just happened?
A little change of look: I got a little perm on my hair.
I just want to sleep...

was that the ending ...
It’s odd...
With parents no longer vaccinating their children, thus causing outbreaks to happen and even other children too young to even recieve the vaccines needed to die, my mind keeps wandering to something I’ve had stuck within my head ever since I can remember.
I’m standing otop a hill and overlooking a town I vaugly recognize now. There is a fire nearby, sometimes from crashed cars below, sometimes from a source I cannot locate, but I’m always on top of that green hill surrounded by pines...
I’m never alone, either.
A man lingers behind me; average in height with short dark hair brushed back, donned in a black suit. He keeps his hands neatly folded behind his back, watching the scene before us as well. It’s hectic, but all together not, and I always ask the man the same question;
“So this is how it ends...?”
His reply never changes, with a tender voice both soothing, yet solemn; it does indeed end in what I see. It isn’t war that brings the end of human beings, but illness.
Illness will kill us all, and the Earth will reclaim herself and start it all anew.
I’ve written about this vision of mine a time or two, but it’s returning to me once more in light of recent events in the world. The end replays over and over and over again in my head like a broken record...
I cough violently into my hand, refusing to turn away from the town as a wind pulls through in the setting sun. My companion sees that I won’t leave my place atop that hill anytime soon in oncoming night and removes his suit coat to place it around my shoulders. He seems to know it more than likely won’t make a difference; I’m so sickly pale and chilled already, but that doesn’t bother either of us. Not in light of everything.
He simply watches over me in silence, and in this silence...
I cry.
It always stops there. I don’t know why I wanted to write this here, but...I just needed to get it out again. I always do when it starts to fill my mind.
