Even More Self-Indulgent Headcanons that No One Asked For But This Time IronStrange is Taking the Reins!
Tony, whenever panicked or just not in the mood, will just run his fingers through Stephen’s hair. Not to mess with it necessarily, he just really likes how soft his boyfriend’s hair is. To which, Stephen finds incredibly calming and nice so it ends up working out really well.
Neither of the two get up very early, in fact, it would be weird to see either of the two up before noon. They both wake up around the same time though, which normally just leads to groggy complaints and lazy kisses as they try their best to wake the other up. (Which barely works, it only ends in the two getting about another hour or two of sleep.)
They know it’s a bad habit and tried to get rid of it by buying yellow bed sheets, because Stephen once read something about how yellow symbolizes not only energy to help wake them up, but it also symbolizes love and warmth. He’s always been the cheesiest of them two so... It worked out fairly well!Â
... except that it didn’t work at all. They are still just as lazy and tired.
But Tony appreciates it anyway.
Tony is crazy needy for small kisses so he’ll just kiss Stephen anywhere without thinking. That includes the general public. So the media caught on pretty quickly to their relationship, and they freaked the hell out. Newspapers, magazines, websites, absolutely everyone was having a freakin’ field day with the new information.Â
Stephen was worried about it at first, but Tony just kept shrugging it off and continued with their public relationship anyway. Which worked! Everything eventually calmed down and it was no longer a big deal.Â
Stephen is the one that keeps saying random and cheesy as hell pick-up lines out of nowhere, but Tony is always quick to reply with a cheesy pick-up line of his own. It’s absolute hell because it’s just an endless nightmare of puns and jokes until one manages to shock the other into silence.Â
Peter once watched a “pick-up line battle” go on between the two for a total of fifteen minutes and he’s never been the same since. (Tony won, Tony normally wins.)
Tony will constantly be pulled through portals whenever he begins to experience a panic attack or starts to think self-deprecating thoughts. Stephen has got crazy good timing on it, it’s scary. Like he can read Tony’s brain or something. Then again, he always makes Tony feel better afterwards so he just decides not to question it.Â
Peter once compared the two as his awesome, superhero, villain-punching dads in conversation once. Which was originally said as a joke, Peter thought that was obvious, but Tony cried for an hour straight afterwards truth be told.Â
