Day 5 : Rescued

Call it a recreation of a scene from my story  A Mer Tale

Worried over every little thing,

All because I loved you,

And wanted you to feel loved.

I cared so much,

I did everything I could

To take the stress away

That slumped your strong shoulders.

I cared so much,

I gave you limitless chances,

And accepted all of your apologies

When you never took me seriously.

I cared so much

I worked myself to the bone

While I begged for you to help me

And got no answer in return.

I cared so much,

I thought things could be different,

If I compromised, made concessions,

But you never tried meeting halfway.

I cared so much,

I burned myself out

Trying to light up your world

When you insisted on darkness.

I cared so much,

That I exhausted my love for you,

Trying to show you the only way I could.

Now I can’t even bring myself to care at all.

sometimes, you just have to resort back to the basics when feeling frustrated with a project. or, you just have to be self indulgent- in my case, it was both, 

i love freckle-y virgil, and honestly the 131 layered project (now 152 layers...) was giving me a l o t of issues and frustration. which, in my experience, is never good way to draw something- so i took a break to doodle this.
