had too many strawberries from costco so everybody look at the strawberry pound cake and strawberry cupcakes with strawberry whipped cream cheese frosting i made, along with a jar of strawberry syrup that I used to make strawberry matcha for breakfast this morning

#i couldnt choose between a loaf and cupcakes so i did both lol#its sooo good im so proud of myself its like if red velvet was fruity - so moist n fluffy and so much tart strawberry flavor#redemption for when i was like 13 and tried to make a strawberry cake and the texture was stodgy and it was gross and wrong#i basically winged this by turning a pound cake recipe i have as the base and adding cornstarch and a lil more flour to soak up the moistur#i cooked the macerated fresh strawberries from the strawberry syrup with frozen strawberries to make a jam and added that to the batter#along with crushed freeze dried strawberries - lime zest - ginger - and the syrup itself in place for some of the sugar in the recipe#and then also added a lil cream cheese a lil yogurt and a lil apple sauce to the batter#and then i crushed some more freeze dried strawberries to dust on top#recipes#baking#i bake#sometimes#i cant believe how good it tastes put me on bake off this was off the dome
