[The Human with Fire Eyes] || @Hypnoticxneedle
It was utter carnage. Mountains of smoke bellowed into the starry sky as fires raged rampantly from where the rebels and slayers had come tumbling out of their tents. At last the vamps had found them and the night they’d all feared had come at last. Screams of terror filled the air and upon the earth lay countless bodies - lifeless whether it had been their first time to die or their second. Undead and human alike were slain in the attack, tossed carelessly aside amid the ghastly fray. This nightmare carried on until finally only one solitary mortal survivor remained- grossly outnumbered.
“I would sooner die..” He panted, fighting desperately to remain on his feet. With a shattered ankle and several mile-wide scratches stretching across both his front and back however, his efforts were in vain. His knees buckled beneath him and like a tuckered out toy soldier, the blond went down into the dirt. Vision blurring, he was quite certain that like many others around him, he was not long for this world. Still, he would fight on until his very last breath.
“I would sooner die than give in!!!”
“Now ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes on our next morsel for auction!” Exclaimed the vampire auctioneer, a sadistic gleam in his eyes as he hoisted the incapacitated vampire slayer up by his hair. The boy made not a sound in discomfort, putting on a brave face as hundreds of ravenous eyes looked him over. He wanted to vomit- the whole affair sicked him immensely. To one of these monsters he would be sold as either a slave or as food. His people, they /needed/ his power- his blessed eyes! But what of his people? Were any of them able to escape and regroup? His sickness worsened.
“- And as an added bonus,” The auctioneer continued, using two sharply manicured, skeletal fingers to force open one of the boy’s eye sockets. There were excited responses from the crowd for indeed, what they saw enticed them. Beneath a mess of golden blond hair were two piercing scarlet eyes. They glistened wildly like fire.
“We’ll start the bidding at 100,000 Jenny!”
