What I love most about the book that we don't really see in the 2005 movie, is how obviously Darcy has the hots for Elizabeth.
In the movies we are left with some doubt, but in the books it's like:
Mr. Darcy told everyone how shit Miss Bennet is, but alas he's starting to think she's actually kinda enchanting.
Elizabeth left the room, Caroline immediately starts gossiping how bad she looks and how untolerable she is. And then Mr. Darcy is like... 👉👈 idk I think she actually looked stunning and maybe you're annoying. Caroline says he'll have a charming mother-in-law.
