okay but do you ever think about how julie and luke look at each other with heart eyes because that’s one of the only ways that they can physically communicate how they are feeling (besides doing things for each other like giving julie bright or helping luke with his mom)??? they can’t hold hands, hug, kiss each other on the forehead, or even touch, but when they look at each other in the eyes, they know. they know that the other person is there for them and they find comfort in this small physical action because it communicates so much. it communicates “i’m here and i love you.” it communicates “when i’m with you, i feel like i’m home.” it communicates “words are scary and i can’t articulate how i am feeling, but i also can’t wrap you up in my arms. so just look at me and please see that i am in love with you. look at me and know things will be okay.” this is one of the only form of physical communication that they without having to physically touch each other or say a word because they get it. with one look, they get each other.
