(I'm doing the first person to come to mind with this, which might not be the best person to write to/about, but whatever, here goes)

Dear person I'm jealous of,

It's been a solid two years now since we've last had any direct contact with each other, though I know that's for the better. The two years our lives intersected we grew very close, but the seeds of failure masked by the "warm and fuzzies" you gave me took root all too quickly. Oddly enough, I still think about you a lot, but why am I jealous? Well, I was always jealous of you, really. But now, you seem to have everything figured out and you're living where you always wanted to.

I'd say I'm happy for you, but that would be lying. That's why I know I am jealous of you. Perhaps things turned out for the better, I know that in the last two years of my life I've grown a tremendous amount and made friends that in many ways have filled the void in my life that you left. And even if things hadn't deteriorated like they did, I'm positive that I am better off now than I would have been otherwise, and we likely wouldn't be friends or at least anywhere close to the same kind of friends we used to be anyway. Even with all that in mind though, I still have my regrets, I still have an unbridled envy of you. Those things might never change, though at least they are fading out of importance to me. To that end,
