focusing. it’s one of his finer skills for a reason, i think! in the show, he’s always been able to get through ( what is generally seen as, although may not resonate with him specifically ) stressful situations with a fierce concentration on his surroundings, etc. he’ll count, too, but only to three and then in sets of three, and the counting corelates with his thoughts if that makes sense? he handles things in sections. if for some reason he needs calming down outside of battle, he trains or studies – he makes himself focus on something. he finds his mind is better off when it isn’t idle. additionally, if the circumstances allow, he’s been known to find somewhere quiet to play the flute.
❝biotite: the biggest problems my muse is currently dealing with.
probably the fact that, in my au, sasuke was this close to being in orochimaru’s control and he slipped out of his fingers and i mean?? we know orochimaru. we know that wouldn’t settle well with him, and while i don’t know what exactly that means for my sasuke, it can’t be good! also, the curse mark. i imagine that it’s been resealed – probably by something stronger than kakashi’s original seal, @azymus mentioned yamato could take care of it probably – but because my au takes place in a situation where he was retrieved, that whole arc still happened and he still got the second stage activated. as long as the seal holds, he’s in okay shape. those two things are still probably the most pressing issues, with a hint of ‘nobody-trusts-me’ (and for good reason) on the side.
❝ hiddenite: how much of an “inner child” my muse has.
okay but is like… anyone in naruto even allowed to be a child? sasuke is a classic case of a kid who had to grow up way too fast, and even before the massacre, he was more focused on training and being as good as itachi than he ever was on playing. still, i like to think that somewhere, deep in him, there’s some pieces of the kid he was but truly uncovering that is probably hopeless. i will say that i think his staying and building bonds where he didn’t in canon would open up possibility for him to open up ( although not too much ) to indulging in regular mischief every once in a while. he’s literally thirteen years old please @ god let my son have fun!!
