He tried just a bit of the food he had been working on nearly all day and was more than pleased with the outcome. Yes. This was good. Perfect, dare he say. Nodding to himself in approval, he wiped his hands off with the kitchen towel and started to work on the dessert he had planned. He was going to try and make his own cheesecake.......but a real one was in the fridge just in case his was an epic fail.

He knew she would be getting off work soon. And he also knew that she had probably been on her feet most of the day. Swollen feet were not meant to be put through a full day of standing. So to try and soften the blow of any potential crankiness, he paused in his focus and concentration of the cheesecake to send a quick text to his beloved.

[ sms - bunny mama ] Just a few more minutes, love! Then you’re free! ^^ I love you!

He was grateful that BoA helped him get the day off. Even if she was his boss so that only she could grant him time off. In fact, BoA even helped him get all the pink balloons scattered all over the house. The huge house that BoA herself had helped them design and build. He still had no idea how he’d get the balloons down from their cathedral ceiling but he’d figure it out later. Hongbin and Moonie were good at archery, right? So maybe they could get them down with arrows or something.

“Now I understand why couples hire someone to do all of this. How can you still be so happy and not gone insane yet?”

The lion pouted one of his unknowingly cute pouts as he looked at the mess that was their living room. Papers scattered everywhere and both their tablets still open with a webpage screen open. His was about the perfect wedding themes while he believed yours was.....well....he had no idea what website yours was about. No idea. So many things. So. Many. Things.

Paris had been nice. But sadly he was tense the entire time there because he was always afraid of another huge terrorist attack of some kind. God it would be so sick if he were to lose you the same day or even the week of his proposal. After having planned it for so long beforehand. But thankfully they had both made it home safely and now....well....now came the hard part.

Wedding planning. Ugh. So complicated.

“Well. Here we are. I hope it’s not too cheesy or worse.....cliche? Ah. I’m nervous, jagiya. I hope you like what I have planned for us. Okay. I should probably shut up and take the blindfold off, huh? Sorry. I’m just really nervous. Okay. For real. The blindfold is coming off. Ready? 1....2....3!”

And that was when he finally took the sleeping mask off of your face. He had picked a bunny one with long cute eyelashes since he always called you his bunny princess. Right from the start. Almost a full year ago, actually. Well not quite a full year but close enough for him.

“Paris. We’re in Paris.”

It had been a long flight and it was all he could do to keep the secret of their destination to himself. Why Paris? To be honest, mostly because of his BoA noona. BoA had told him about her adventures in Paris when she had took that rough hiatus from life and he was so fascinated that he just had to take you here. This was where he wanted to take you and change their lives forever. It had to be Paris and no where else.

“What do you think? If you want to go somewhere else we can. I want this to be perfect.”

Anniversaries. It wasn’t exactly something he had been really great at keeping up with. And naturally he felt terrible about that. His busy schedule often caused him to miss important things like anniversaries. But with Ravi promoting his solo album, it had left himself and the others with some down time. Not much but some. And so he took this golden opportunity to strike. He’d make up for the anniversaries he couldn’t make happen for his precious girl.

And so with his suitcase packed and one of your pink ones beside it, all thanks to your mother helping him out with sneaking around, he grinned heavily and sat down on the bed to send you a text.

“Okay, Kitty. I dare you to strip!”

“What happened to innocent dares like.......I dunno.....something more innocent than stripping.”

He still laughed softly all the same as he sat on the huge bed in their bedroom. Yes. Their luxury cabin had finally been completed and of course he made the mistake of asking what was the first thing she wanted to do in their new home.

“Truth or dare!”

That had been her answer. Of course that was going to be her answer. Of course he half expected her to say sex. And who knows, maybe this was her way of getting exactly that. Why else would she be daring him to strip? Grinning, he decided to play along. A dare was a dare after all. And so with a shrug, he got off the bed and started stripping.

Of course he made a show out of it. It was no fun to just take one’s clothing off as if they were undressing for bed or something. He’d sway his hips a bit and flex his muscles. But of course he was going to tease her and at least stay in his boxers. Turning around to finally face her, he flashed her a grin and a wink.

“My turn. Truth or dare, princess?”

“Dare!”

He had barely gotten the question out. Of course she’d pick dare. Would she really pick anything else? Okay. So now he had to come up with something. Should he come up with something just as dirty? Or mess with her and come up with something completely innocent just to make her grumpy? He didn’t want to push his luck. But he also didn’t want to let her win either. So with the fold of his arms, he grinned and said confidently,

“I dare you to strip down to your panties. Which means the bra comes off too.”

The kpop queen loved little moments like this. When she could stop being wonder woman for a little bit. As childish as it was, she actually really enjoyed being a child again as the older woman continued to read the story out loud. Not just for her benefit, but for the benefit of her babies as well. But much like the infants, the exhausted mother of three was finding herself falling asleep during story time as well. Getting lost in the innocent romance of prince charming and the princess running around in the royal gardens. She felt like she had heard that story before. But either way, it was nice to be a kid again. Even just for a little bit.

It had been a long day. For sure. Especially considering as how it was supposed to be a day off. But being a mother was a full time job too. As she had often warned Hyosung. You can take time off from work, but there was no taking time off from motherhood. Now that her son was getting older, he was becoming more of a handful. Thankfully the twin princesses were still young enough that they slept or played in their playpen most of the time. It was now nap time for all of them and even the adults. She was so grateful to have Mrs. Jeon’s help because she wasn’t sure she could do it all by herself. But as they sat there on the plush couch in the living room, she felt her own eyes get heavy and before she knew it, she was snoozing away too. Assuming the happy grandmother-to-be was right behind her.

It had been a couple days since he was discharged from the hospital to continue his resting and recovery at home. He was grateful that his manager had allowed him to rest at home with you rather than making him stay at the dorm with the rest of VIXX. This would allow him to keep an eye on you in case anything bad should happen to you or the baby. But for a small moment, he managed to force himself to worry about nothing. To pretend that they weren’t pregnant and that they were still just two young adults in love. Just them with all the freedom in the world to do whatever they wanted to do. He was extra quiet these days. So he just laid there and enjoyed the feeling of being under the fort with you. Perhaps the fort would make all the bad go away. Keep all the bad out.

“You got us cheesecake......aigoo...” He tried to smile as best he could. The trouble you must have gone through to get this particular brand. He knew the only place that sold it was the cafe located at the Lotte World Castle. The very same cheesecake that he ordered the night of their first secret date. The date that had blew up in his face. Life seemed to enjoy doing that to him. Blowing up in his face. However, he knew you were trying to go above and beyond to make him feel better. To pull him out of this depression he managed to dive head first into. Life really effed him up this time. He wasn’t sure even cheesecake could save him now. But he’d try to muster up the strength to smile. For you.

“Oh? I suppose this is payback for that punishment I gave you the other night. Which you deserved by the way.”

He grinned and winked at her before chuckling and rolling over till he playfully trapped her under him. Of course his body wasn’t actually on hers but he was towering enough that he pretty much made any way of escape impossible to perform. Smirking and leaning his face super close into her own, he whispered teasingly,

“Who’s the prisoner now, beautiful?”

Laughing softly, he leaned down to kiss her lips in a chaste kiss and then rolled off of her so that she could cuddle up with him if she truly wanted to. Part of him would always feel the urge to tease her and get her riled up. Just because it was so easy to do. She was so easy to tease. But he never tried to be purposefully mean or cruel. It was always in good fun.
