I was watching the Christmas livestream for Adult Swim cuz it was Smiling Friends but luckily right after it was Moral Orel and while watching The Best Christmas Ever I noticed something that piqued my interest

We only see two stockings here, seemingly of Orel and Clay. So Clay as a kid we see him wearing short sleeves with a sweater vest I believe. Maybe this signifies that he's more open and mallable, since he's a kid. Especially with his dad n all.

When he's in his 20s, he has a long sleeved tux maybe to show how closed off he already is from everything and in his 40s n Before Orel he continues to have long sleeves, maybe to hide from the world.

Maybe with Bloberta when she's younger she has short sleeves to perhaps show how open all of her options were but once she got married, she only wears long sleeves, maybe to show how trapped she is.
