Powered by the "Panhead" engine, a 74 cubic-inch (1200cc) air-cooled V-twin producing over 50 horsepower. These featured aluminum cylinder heads for improved cooling compared to the earlier Knucklehead engine and they were mated to a 4-speed, hand-shifted gearbox.
