A hiss rumbled in Ryouma’s mouth as he was slammed to the wall, his brother’s rage reasonable and valid. Of course he could pin it on Ryouma’s return. All of this spiraled out of control once he’d came.
-- “YUICHIRA, BROTHER, please,” he grunted, grabbing his brother and ripping him away from him. Ryouma found himself lucky that he had his armor on from training, otherwise he worried this could end so much worse if it keeps down this path. “YOUR WIFE and children didn’t leave because of me. They left because of you. Your wife has grown terrified of you, and took the kids with her for their safety to her homeland. I don’t know where that is, but she said that she will come back once she feels this bad blood ends between us.”
-- “IF YOU do not believe me, here, take this,” he said, pulling her note from his clothing and throwing it to him. “SHE GAVE it upon me to pass on to you once you came to me, since she knew you’d come to me and blame me for your problems. Now, if you’re going to continue to be a child, I won’t try to make amends with you. However, if this animosity leads to this family coming apart, that is where I draw the line.”
A hand rested on his sword’s handle, ready to defend himself if he needed to. Gods, he hoped it wouldn’t come to that. That was the last thing any of them needed. However, if Yuichira kept attacking him and threatening his life, he had no choice.
-- “BROTHER, THINK of your family, not just your old demons. They’ve left in fear.”
