the fanfare plays on televisions throughout the world, signaling an official start to the huge quadrennial event. athletes proudly make their way across screens, ready to represent their home countries with their upcoming accomplishments in this year's summer olympics. millions of viewers cheer their olympians on, and even for many citizens of dc, this is not an event to be missed. while unable to compete themselves, perhaps there are big dreams from dc's residents, and now would be a good time to explore those athletic aspirations!
it's been a while since our last task, so here's a fun one! a huge shoutout to our very own mario for the idea, and this one is of course inspired by the olympics! the format of this task is slightly different from usual, with only one aspect required to count as complete, but more about that will be below as we explain our task about your muses' athletic abilities!
for this task, we will only be requiring a written portion! if you would like to add an edit though, you are absolutely able to do so! some options might include a stat board like this one, or even a aesthetic moodboard like this one! but again, we're NOT requiring a visual aspect this time around, and you can choose whatever graphic you want if you decide to make one!

how would they likely rank in their event(s)? Gold. He's skilled in it, he's done it for as long as he can remember. He even does it now for exercise and fun so there's no way he'd get anything less than a gold. Maybe silver if he has an extremely bad day and forgot to eat.
does your muse have a supernatural ability that could aid them? if so, how would they use them? Beel is a demon, so already he has supernatural strength.
if your muse isn't a skilled athlete, what sport(s) do they wish that they were able to play? If I had to say, maybe track and field? His workout/day consists of an early morning jog, weightlifting, 100 drills of sprinting and then weightlifting before bed so probably anything with running.
if your muse wouldn't compete, what would be their favorite sport(s) to watch? would they prefer to watch in person or on tv if given the choice? Beel wished there was competitive eating he can watch (he'd also win the gold for competitive eating or sure) but he watches the track and field, the pentathlon, so really anything except golfing. Golf bores him .
if they come from a fictional country or world, what might their opening ceremony uniform look like? Beel never understood the opening ceremony uniform so he would like go in his demon form or go in his RAD uniform.
what would their personal trading pin look like? His handle on Instagram (or Devilgram) is Beezleburger. . .so of course his trading pin would be of a hamburger.
what would their social media presence be like throughout the games? He doesn't have a huge following, but he has a big enough following that he has to post content on a more or less consistent basis. It would be mostly on what he's eating there and workout tips and workout vlogs
would they go viral on olympic tiktok? if so, what for? He'd probably go viral on regular tiktok for eating the village out of their food and still wanting more. It'll be like the muffin guy but on a bigger scale.

which game(s) would your character compete in for the olympics? – for a list of games, click here & here I'm leaning more towards fencing just because that's the closest thing to sword fighting my mind can think of so probably that. Either that or taekwondo but I'm thinking more fencing
how would they likely rank in their event(s)? I'd say probably silver but maybe bronze. He doesn't look like he'd do "damage" but he uses that to his advantage and take home the win.
does your muse have a supernatural ability that could aid them? if so, how would they use them? He does have supernatural powers, but I think the one that most help would be his ability to learn anything and hone it just by observing. He'd probably used that to see what strategies and stances work and then use it to win.
if your muse isn't a skilled athlete, what sport(s) do they wish that they were able to play? Probably archery. I can see him shooting professional Olympic recurve.
if your muse wouldn't compete, what would be their favorite sport(s) to watch? would they prefer to watch in person or on tv if given the choice? He'd watch everything, but he'doddly wnough end up liking the horse one.
if they come from a fictional country or world, what might their opening ceremony uniform look like? Most likely, a fencing uniform. No way would he wear his Ghost Slayer outfit.
what would their personal trading pin look like? His amber pendant would be his pin! Because I am nothing if not predictable.
what would their social media presence be like throughout the games? He only has a presence so his students can see he's cool. And even then it's not much but showing behind the scenes of his training and giving history lessons.
would they go viral on olympic tiktok? if so, what for? It would be hilarious if he did but unless Zhao Yunlan was there to make him go viral, he won't be.
what would your muse like or dislike about the olympic village? Probably love the atmosphere of it mostly.
which game(s) would your character compete in for the olympics? – for a list of games, click here & here He'd definitely fence. He knows it's not like sword fighting, but it's the most similar and it's something that he can do even though he's blind.
how would they likely rank in their event(s)? Maybe silver because he'll have to get used to fighting with foil and epee, but a saber he'll excel in.
does your muse have a supernatural ability that could aid them? if so, how would they use them? While Xingchen has his qi to make him last longer, not sure it would be of help here; They aren't monsters.
if your muse isn't a skilled athlete, what sport(s) do they wish that they were able to play? He does martial arts, so he'd probably stick to being a martial artist. He'd probably excel in jiujitsu and most definitely excel in Wushu martial arts.
if your muse wouldn't compete, what would be their favorite sport(s) to watch? would they prefer to watch in person or on tv if given the choice? He listens to it on the TV and definitely would be following up on the taekwondo and judo.
if they come from a fictional country or world, what might their opening ceremony uniform look like? I think he'd just wear his traditional white hanfu. He wears it for Halloween to dress up and for very special occasions so it would work here

what would your muse like or dislike about the olympic village? Since he can't visually see how the village looks, he'll have to lean on how the people treat him and how the place caters to his blindness .

how would they likely rank in their event(s)? Oh gold baby. He's been doing it since high school and he even created an undergrounding skating competition, called S. Unless someone decides to smack him off his board, he's winning.

if your muse isn't a skilled athlete, what sport(s) do they wish that they were able to play? Honestly, I can't see him doing anything other than skateboarding. Maybe archery because looking like a graceful elf. . .or figure skating but other than those I don't know.
if your muse wouldn't compete, what would be their favorite sport(s) to watch? would they prefer to watch in person or on tv if given the choice? He says he wouldn't watch it but he'd be secretly watching the skateboarding and all other sports on his TV.

how would they likely rank in their event(s)? Poor Zenitsu would probably be the lowest rank. He can't very well pass out and win like that so he'd be very low, not placing a medal.
does your muse have a supernatural ability that could aid them? if so, how would they use them? He has his demon slayer abilities and powers but he's too fearful to unlock them so it would be of no help at all.
if your muse isn't a skilled athlete, what sport(s) do they wish that they were able to play? Right now? He wishes to do anything with confidence and without fear so once he unlocks that, it's game over.
if your muse wouldn't compete, what would be their favorite sport(s) to watch? would they prefer to watch in person or on tv if given the choice? He'd probably like the Equestrian because that seems less painful and scary. Though sailing would be nice too.

what would your muse like or dislike about the olympic village? He likes the fact that it's not Washington D.C. It may be loud but the chaos won't be a dangerous one.
i think inej would genuinely enjoy competing in rhythmic gymnastics. it's not quite the acrobatics she typically does or used to perform, but it's close enough and she's always happy to have a chance to use those skills for something joyful. she also does just like to show off a little bit every now and again. i don't care if i'm overhyping her i'm saying she'd get gold. the only reason she wouldn't is if she didn't want to represent kerch for one reason or another. that or she'd wind up in the winter olympics along with whatever kaz is doing and wouldn't medal cause she wouldn't be trying to get attention (though she'd be chilling doing ice skating not joining the idiots in luge). beyond that i think inej would watch the olympics casually. if they were on she'd enjoy them, especially the more acrobatic sports like gymnastics or ice skating, but she's definitely not seeking them out. her media presence and how she'd go viral is getting the most batshit behind the scenes pictures and videos of other athletes and posting them on a fake account. people spend the whole olympics trying to figure out who's getting this footage and how. she's just having a fun little time while giving the rest of the athletes an anxiety disorder without realizing it. it would get revealed to be inej at the end of the games when she decided she was done with the whole thing. i think she'd honestly be pretty neutral on the olympic village. it would be cool to be somewhere else, but she's aware that it's not really well set up. she's not too picky as long as she has food and a place to sleep though.

how would they likely rank in their event(s)? See I want to say gold because his robotic limbs would give him an advantage, but he might get disqualified for fighting whoever would stop him early.
does your muse have a supernatural ability that could aid them? if so, how would they use them? Why they aren't supernatural, his robotic limbs would increase his strength and would break any bone with one hard kick and punch.
if your muse isn't a skilled athlete, what sport(s) do they wish that they were able to play? He probably wouldn't do anything else. He's more into music and the rockstar lifestyle.
