Thor is the first tomake it to Clint's side and he skids to his knees, heedless of thegravel tearing into his pants and flesh.
Clint had fallen andtried to catch himself on the fire escape on his way down. He'smoving, thank the All Father, but his face is contorted with anexpression of agony. Blood is streaming from a series of nastyabrasions on his forearm and after a closer look, Thor realizesthere's something strange about the shape of his shoulder on thatside.
“Be still, friend,” Thor says, reaching to gently touch Clint's shoulder andClint whines.
Tony lands with acrunch not far away and Clint gasps as the impact reverberatesthrough the ground. Thor scowls at Tony.
The faceplate flipsup to reveal Tony's wide-eyed face. “I did, I am!”
“Fffuck,” Clintspits and Thor squeezes his uninjured shoulder, while waving Tonyforward.
“Come, scan him.Tell me what needs doing,” he says, voice ringing with authorityand Tony, who always loses his wits when one of them is injured, takes the instruction easily.
“Okay, okay, uh—JARVIS is reporting he's got multiple contusions and lacerations, acracked rib, and a dislocated shoulder. The cuts and bruises can waitand we can't do anything about the rib but—”
Steve skids to astop between them and barks, “Report!”
“Not now,” Thorreplies, “Tony. What can wedo?”
“Resetthe shoulder,” Tony says.
Steve'seyes cut down, his expression severe. “His arm's dislocated? I canreduce it.”
“Excellent,”Thor says, “Come.” It will be easier if Steve already knows how.Gently patting Clint's chest, Thor adds, “You will be back on yourfeet in but a moment.”
“Myarm,” Clint gasps, voice shaking with fear and pain. Thor grips hisgood shoulder again and makes sure their eyes meet.
“Youwill recover. Stay calm.”
Steveasks him to help sit Clint up and he continues offering reassurancesand a quiet narration of what's going on. Natasha arrives just asSteve is finishing the careful set of maneuvers to re-situate theshoulder and Clint gasps, slumping slightly between them.
“Ishe okay?” Natasha demands.
“He'lllive,” Tony mutters, eyes never leaving Clint.
“Better?”Steve asks, bending to look into Clint's face.
Clintnods gratefully, breathing with care. “Yeah. Thanks.”
Thorsqueezes the back of his neck. “We are your shieldbrothers and youwould do the same.”
