drabble/ Highschool: Our characters attend a high school together
High school. Blah. He hated it. Why did Hatchet get to stay home, sure he worked, but still, it wasnāt fair that Hunter had to go to school. He hated it.Ā
He was always getting picked on for being different. Why, you ask? He wore clothes that people deemed only fit for women and make-up. Sure, he was male, but that didnāt mean he couldnāt have a little fun and dress up. Do his hair, make-up, nails. Stand out so to speak.
Today was no different from any other day. Hunter who had done his hair, in a long braid. Had decided to let his face breath. Meaning no make-up. Today he wore skin tight, black pants, a studded belt, some high healed boots, and one of his more manly shits. His nails were all black apart from the white tips.Ā
The minute his brother left from dropping him off at school. The taunting, name calling and bullying began. He was strong though. As much as he wanted to cry, he was strong.Ā
As he entered homeroom, he spotted a young man, who had the sameĀ feminineĀ features as he did, yet with blonde hair, instead of black.Ā
Must be the new kid, he thought and with a friendly smile. He walked over to the new kid and introduced himself.
āHallo, itās nice to meet you. Iām Hunter. Hunter Grey.ā, they shook hands as the other told him his name.
Loki. Interesting and unique. He liked it.
If the new kid could go through-out the day, dressed like he was and not let the taunting and bullying phase him. Hunter could do the same.Ā
Didnāt mean he wouldnāt go home and not cry after, because he would. He was after all, sensitive.
The young boy told his twin brother that he had tempted to make a friend today. With the new boy at school. Hunter had always imagined himself surrounded by lots of people. But, the deaths of there parents and their move to a strange new town, didnāt give him the opportunityĀ to. The kids at his high school, didnāt grow up with him. So therefore, didnāt like him.Ā
It wasnāt just that he dressed like a girl. It was also the fact that they thought he was going to try and make a pass at them. Right. Hunter flirt.
He had never had the time to date nor did he find anyone attracted for him to think of dating.Ā
He just wanted friends. Thatās all. Was that so hard to ask for?Ā ApparentlyĀ it was.Ā
At least with Loki, he had a shot at making a friend and not feeling so lonely, as he usually did at school.Ā
His brother was rather proud of him.
As the weeks went by. Hunter found himself, breaking out of his shell more. All this, because he had made a friend in Loki.
Things, at school, had started to look up for the youngest Grey and looking back now, he wouldnāt change his time in that small high school, for the world.Ā
The only thing he would change, is having his brother there, but being able to do something without Hatchet. Was a feat in itself.Ā
