MATERIALISTIC, OR APPRECIATION OF AN ARTFORM? STOP PUTTING DOWN WELL DRESSED EQUESTRIANS

I hate how shallow people have to be, that they put down any rider who owns nice gear with the traditional “So Materialistic” / and or the “I bet mummy and daddy paid for all of that” comment.

For starters, Just because she has nice stuff doesn’t mean she is necessarily materialistic. Some people just like to express themselves through their style, which I appreciate as an artform in itself. (IE: gaga, sia) If you are one of these people, like myself for instance, what’s the physical harm in collaborating our sense of style, with our passion of the equestrian sport. In my opinion, as long as the horse is well taken care of, health up to date, fed well... It’s not really harming anyone for a rider to dress with style.

Secondly, HOW IS IT ACTUALLY AFFECTING YOU? Don’t give me a “oh it annoys me” answer, how is it physically affecting you if a rider decides to dress their horse and themselves fashionably? Answer is, it’s really not. If they annoy you, stop checking their profile regularly, block them and move on. It’s really not that hard to distance yourself from someone you dislike. By the looks of it, most people who comment nasty things like this, check the rider’s profile regularly, it’s like you are their #1 fan! #AWKS!

Finally, It’s their money, and their lives and quite frankly, it’s none of your business. Chances are, you are jealous... Although you may not think so initially; really think about it for a moment. “Why am I so obsessed with what this girl wears?”. There’s your answer.
