I made a Horseland OC :D

This is Helen Despereaux & her American Paint horse Blitzen.

Helen wants to be a competitive steeplechase & she’s best friends with Bailey, Nani, & Sarah.

I was recently reminded that horseland exists.

And so many really enjoyed it. But we also know it was... a product of its time. REALLY a product of its time. And so much horse peril. Why is there so much horse peril?

Anyways so many of us former horse girls remember it. And we are early 2000s kids. We want our shows back. And not tarnished in the name of capitalism.

I think it would be interesting if it took a Star Stable route of being about highschool and horses. Because we all know these kids have been in school. Molly talked about it all the time. And the city shes from. Even getting friends from the city.

But also we should have other characters that are reacurring but not main characters. Like Alma's pen pal. Or that one fashion girl. Sara's friend she met during that one trip to France.

We should also still have talking horses.

And maybe we should actually have an A and B plot. Like A being about the kids. B being about the horses.

Give them actual personalities. And hey yeah Chloe and Zoey being awful but actual well rounded characters and learning about their lessons. But also still being awful bitchy girls.

And Sarah not bring the perfect girl. Maybe being held to that standard. That would be actually cool mini plot.

Alma actually being bilingual. Because what she is in the original horseland is not. Tbh It kind of annoyed me all the time.

Molly is honestly a really good and well rounded character. No notes. Maybe have her learn from her actions but.

Bailey needed more screentime. Hes actually a fun character and they didnt utilize him. Also Chloe having a crush on him and then its never grown upon. Yes I know its an early 2000's show and it was supposed to be a procedural in which that kids could pick up whenever. You can still do that and have plot. COUGH Rescue Bots.

Noni is actually a really fun character. I really enjoyed her presence and I like that she actually come in as a main character without being tossed to the side. But Horseland... jfc you could have done so much better without doing microagressions.

Also Will, you should have been utilized more. Hes a really cool character. And one of the ONLY adults in the show. I understand that there was no budget for any other rigging but gods where are the adults in this series.

Theres a lot I could change. My screenwriting ass wants to make a pilot. A spec script. I know that horseland is owned by Wild Brain now. I wanna write something fun from my childhood.

Shows that bring out the girly girl in me. 💞✨️🎀

Not in a set order, although some of these I watched as a child and others in the more recent years. Tried to put the ones I favored closer to the top.

Barbie is here in spirit cause I watched plenty of her, but this was strictly for SERIES, and I stuck more to movies.
