Here an OC. In Don Rosa's Duck family tree, Humperdink is the oldest in the (paternal) Duck family line. But we know nothing about his parents. His father. Eider, Daphne and Quackmore's grandfather. Donald, Della, Gladstone, Fethry and Abner's great-grandfather. Huey, Dewey and Louie's great-great-grandfather.

OK, so lemme give y'all my headcanon.

Herbert Duncan "HD" Duck was born in San Antonio, Texas as the middle of five children. His father ran a steel company his older brother would eventually take over. Herbert however was more lurking towards the car industry. In middle school he already did everything that had to do with cars, and unlike his friends, he had no time to find a crush.

Then, in high school - 9th grade - his one year older sister Dana introduced him to her classmate Camilla, who was also a year older than him and whose parents came from Puerto Rico.

They quickly became a couple and got married even before finishing college. A few weeks afterwards, they moved to Bloomfield, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. Ten months later, their son Humperdink was born.

Herbert meanwhile put lots of work in the car company. He was wounded while fighting in the war, but recovered and only desired to get back to work. The company suffered (financial) loss in the war, including heavy damages on the main building, but Herbert worked even harder - up to 14 hours a day! - to remain in contention. This caused even his contenders to respect him.

Their second child would have to wait. When Humperdink was 13 - nearly 14, in 8th grade, and just like his old man, was the only one of his friends to still not have a girlfriend - Camilla was pregnant again, but shockingly, she fell sick. It became evident that the city life was too much to handle for the family. They decided to move to the countryside of Calisota - not far from Duckburg -, where Herbert was able to build some land. Humperdink helped his father, and a few months later, Camilla gave birth to a healthy son named Derek, their second and last child, born 14 years after their first.

Humperdink would still travel back and forth between the West Coast and Midwest for his job's sake, but it put lots of stress on him and after he got a heart attack from his 41th birthday, he finally took Camilla's advice and focused on farm life. Not too long afterwards, Humperdink's wife Elvira would give birth to Herbert and Camilla's first grandchild, Eider. Life was the best.
