I was reading Vogue's July issue featuring Lupita Nyong'o on the cover with a feature story on Pussy Riot. As I was reading the feature story on Pussy Riot I had to ask, why didn't they put the story earlier on in the magazine? I think Lupita is beautiful and she deserves spotlight as a Black actress but don't human rights deserve some spotlight, too? It just makes me wonder, who will even make it to the back of the magazine to read the article? Or will people just stop at Lupita?
