Season Four of The Walking Dead ended with Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the group outgunned, outnumbered, and trapped in a train car awaiting a grim fate. Season Five picks up shortly thereafter.  What follows is a story that weaves the true motives of the people of Terminus with the hopeful prospect of a cure in Washington, D.C., the fate of the group’s lost comrades, as well as new locales, new conflicts, and new obstacles in keeping the group together and staying alive. Weigh in on the debate over whether Negan will appear in Season 5 and whether he will be played by Kevin Durand (of FX’s The Strain fame).

Negan is a villain from the comic book series that Walking Dead fans have been eagerly anticipating. According to NukeTheFridge.com, Kevin Durand spoke about potentially playing the character of Negan:

I’ve had a lot of people with The Walking Dead talk to me, mentioned that they see me for a character named “Negan,” but I haven’t read the comic.

However, this was later disputed by Kevin on Twitter:

@onemightytree any truth to the Negan rumors? Big fan on @TheStrainFX!

As for whether Negan will even appear in Season 5 is still up for debate. The Hollywood Reporter has suggested that we may have already seen Negan in the Season 5 trailer:

They suspect this image may be Negan thanks to the fact that in the comic books Glenn (played by Steven Yeun in the TV series) is beaten by Negan with a baseball bat covered in barbed wire. If the bald character above is brandishing a baseball bat, chances are we already have Negan cast and appearing in Season 5!

No, it’s not really made from human flesh, but it’s a REALLY good marketing ploy by AMC. UK chef Jim Thomlinson researched into all the accounts of cannibalism and tried to come up with a burger that tasted like human flesh. As a result of this, the meat in the humanburger is a blend of pork, veal and bone marrow.

250 lucky UK fans of the Walking Dead got to sample this burger at an exclusive pop up restaurant going by the name of Terminus Tavern in the lead up to the premiere of Season 5.

Wonder at what may be in the pilot episode of The Walking Dead spin off series.

According to Robert Kirkman (creator of The Walking Dead comics), this is now an actual thing:

There are many corners of The Walking Dead universe that remain unseen in the shadows. Being given the opportunity to shine a light into those corners and see what lurks out there is an absolute thrill. I know the fans are anxious to hear what Dave [Erickson] and I have been cooking up for this new universe of The Walking Dead, and I’m happy to be one step closer to sharing it with them.

Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that this spin off series has had the green light. The series has been in development since last year and will not be based in Georgia or even contain any of the characters we know and love from The Walking Dead TV series. However, it will most certainly occur within the same universe as The Walking Dead and there are suggestions this new series will deal with the how and why of the zombie apocalypse that started it all.

Cry about the fact we will no longer be seeing 2013 model Hyundai’s in a show that hasn’t even hit 2012 yet.

Yep, Hyundai has lost it’s product placement sponsorship. With Season 4 occurring largely on foot, AMC were just finding it too darn hard to place their product in there without looking like a cop out:

While we had a great run with The Walking Dead, the plot of the show changed and moved in such a way that the car ceased to have a role —David Matathia (director of marketing communications at Hyundai)

Just keep your eye on the video around the 0.51 second mark – it seems that’s not Negan. While he is certainly brandishing a basebat bat, it isn’t covered in barbed wire.
