Courage is an sweet kind but overly frightened 16-17 year old who lives in Nowhere,Kansas Courage is a genuine coward and she often expresses her distress with over-the-top, piercing shriek. regardless, she still goes to great lengths to protect her family. she often gets hurt, sometimes quite bruised and only surviving through her determination and/or pure luck. Despite her cowardice, Courage is very clever and resourceful when the situation demands it, outsmarting the villains most of the time which sometimes impresses them with her wit and growing bravery. she also sometimes displays super strength, carrying Muriel and Eustace with relative ease when her adrenaline kicks in. Aiding her at saving the day is a self-aware, sarcastic and seemingly omniscient computer that she keeps in the attic/her room who she nicknamed Cye .Courage was abandoned as 3 year old babe after her parents were sent into outer space by a mad doctor after he tried to do the same with her but her parents who were concerned and suspicious intervened saving their daughter but were incidentally sent to space instead of Courage who sadly couldn’t do anything to save them as the poor toddler watched her parents be transported away not knowing if she’ll ever see her Mama and Daddy again as all she could do now was run and escape that cruel doctor! during her escape Courage accidentally ran into a table with unknown chemicals spilling all over the little one (turning her skin becoming pale like milk, cheeks and lips continuously rosy hue, glass paler bluebell eyes and hair once a lovely raven was now a beautiful luscious deep purple pink becoming soft as silk as she would get old her body would grow into voluptuous figure yet still small of 5′0 ft to where one day her foes would find her alluring) ,after her escape with many hours and running far away into the night until her energy finally ran out where Courage dropped into an ally by a dumpster as she sat down tired and scared to the bone all Courage could was cry for the lose of her parents and hide in the garbage of strangers passing by her fear making her to scared to ask for help for days Courage thought no will love and help her until a kind sweet-nature woman noticed the poor little one know by as Muriel Bagge who decided with her maternal instinct took Courage in adopting her into the family (while giving her the name Courage when she saw the words in a heart locket around her neck and remarked that she must be quite brave to be there by herself). and loving her with a motherly care and her reluctant husband Eustace who regularly bullies her but Muriel always protects Courage scolding Eustace for scaring her with a whack of her rolling pin or purse.
