On this day, the 14th of February, I came across my grandparents marriage certificate. It was in a cardboard box that had been given to my dad a few months ago. The box had both of my grandparent’s diplomas, their marriage cert, their death announcement and pictures of four different generations. My dad told me who-was-who, where the photos were taken, and how the people fit into the tapestry that is my family. I am blessed. We shared cake pops, good conversations, and many memories. My grandparents got married young, struggled through the depression, worked hard farming, then owned a hotel on the coast, drove a log truck and worked as a clerk in a grocery store. At one point they lost everything, but came back, raised three amazing kids, owned their own home that always had the coffee on, and the playing cards could be found on the kitchen table ready for their next game. My gram passed when I was in second grade and my gramps when I was in eighth and I still miss them. Two of their three kids along with themselves have passed and it brings me to tears as I write it. This family stood the test of time, and my generation and our kids are going strong. #hulettswisdom is what gets us by. #memories 💝Happy Valentin’s Day💝 https://www.instagram.com/p/Bt47xsoBQDxL9jCV5-SEps9ekBty_mwzMnN1yU0/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=rz8xjtvdcrdw
