Did I set out on this journey intentionally? Nope. It came to me through family, friends, and mentors that said: “Hey, Heidi…you should start a podcast!” And here I am 126 episodes later and still going strong. ☺️ Why have I gone on for 2+ years with this platform? It’s because I see results. I see results in myself, my musicianship, my teaching, my relationships, and my business. Yep … you heard that right! My business. I’ve been able to be a remote entrepreneur now for 2 years…and my husband now for 5 years. We started his remote audio/video business when I started my DMA…with only 1 client and not knowing if we were going to make it…but we did! Not only did his company make it — it’s thriving, which I am saying with much humility. For me, I have seen students come through the platform, opportunities to collaborate, able to offer my non-music services, corporate sponsorships, and see parts of the world I never thought was possible. All because I’m a podcasting musician. I’m not saying it’s easy… cause it’s not…but it’s worth it. Just like with anything you have to work hard and fight for it. 💕 Nothing would satisfy me more if I could share these insights with you and your students. I want to see people THRIVE during this time. I want people to shift their gaze into new directions and opportunities.
