Baking some angelic cards who want some?
Probably I'm gonna hack the Strike Engine and make It stupid simple. Im Gonna call It Strikeless Engine lol
The plan is to make 30 cards decks with cool themed (Devils, Angels, wild west ect.) and no booster pack to make It accessibile. Also Im gonna stick to The Game Crafter for now
Resources! Blood, Bone, and Soul!
I promised I would speak more on Resources! The three main resources to play cards are Blood, Bone, and Soul. The reason the resources in this game are so dark sounding is because in it’s lore you need to make sacrifices to do magic within this world. Usually with the 3 aforementioned resource types.
At the start of your turn you gain up to 2 free Blood to spend, up to a max of 2 every turn. when below 10 life this is increased to a maximum of 3, with 20 being your maximum life. Now, you might be saying to yourself “That doesn’t sound like a lot of Blood to use”. But that is what units are for! You can sacrifice the health of your units for blood costs (but you can use the health of units that were summoned until the start of your next turn). Next are Bones, when a unit dies or a card is used it goes to the Graveyard and become a Bone Token. Units become Bone Tokens equal to their health. Sadly you can’t have any floating bone, so if you play say a 2 bone card and pay it with a 3 bone token it would consume the bone token sending that token to the Afterlife. When a card is in the Afterlife is counts as a single Soul Token, letting you play cards with Soul costs!
can someone direct me to the "homemade tcg" side of tumblr please i'm begging i wanna share my htcg ideas snarling foaming at the mouth

Just realized that I haven't actually described the game I've been talking about all day.
So- Uh. Anthro animal characters putting on a concert. The groups of performers have to compete live with their competition, so they have to carefully time their best moves for when the spotlight lands on them. They also have to get the spotlight's attention in the first place.
Each player can have up to four active Stars (character cards,) one Lead and three Backups. On their turn they can spend energy to use their moves. Each Star has their own energy, which is like their health. If they run out, they go backstage to the discard pile. Stars earn Icon Points by using certain moves under the spotlight. Only the Lead Star can earn Icon Points and the first player to fifteen points wins. The Spotlight can be moved by your Stars, so it's best for your Backups to get the Spotlight in position so your Lead can earn Icon Points. Be careful with that light though, since you need moments out of the spotlight to recover energy and if the light is on your team and one of them happens to run out of energy- well they just stumbled in front of a giant crowd and you just lost an Icon Point.
The game isn't combat themed, but you can still intefere with your opponents by reducing their energy and using special effects to get in their way. You can also use effect and prop cards to change the game.
Each Star- even the weaker ones- will be designed to be flashy and fun, to avoid the feeling of 'boring bulk' in a booster pack. I don't have any art drawn yet, but I'm thinking bright, neon colors and glowing effects. Also, the names of the moves are vague song references. Some are titles, some are lines and some are words that just show up a lot in music. Many are so obscure that nobody but me will get them. It's just my fun personal rule when designing them.
Scuffed Play Test Card
I did my first round of play testing yesterday. This is the best looking of all the cards I made for testing. You most likely won’t see the damage circle ever again or the Blood cost as a word.
Second card preview! Phoenix Blazeburn! I think he is cute.
