The older man possessed basic cooking skills sufficient to avoid starvation. Years of living independently had forced Hyunshik to learn a few essential dishes and even some more elaborate ones that he rarely made. While his cooking might not impress anyone, least of all Tai, he was at least a helpful assistant in the kitchen.

Carefully stirring the sauce, he tried to follow Tai's instructions. A pinch of this, a dash of that—how hard could it be? Tai had clearly noticed his variations to the sauce and asked him to taste it.

Hyunshik dipped a clean spoon into the sauce and took a cautious sip. The moment it hit his tongue, his expression twisted—his eyebrows furrowed, and his lips pursed. However, instead of admitting defeat, he quickly composed himself, cleared his throat, and smirked. "Not bad at all. It's… unique." He suddenly scooped up another spoonful and held it out. "Here, try it."

He observed how Tai took a step back. "Come on, you have to appreciate my creation," Hyunshik teased, moving closer. Before the younger man could escape, he trapped him against the counter. With a playful smirk, he leaned in closer to Tai. "Just taste a little bit."

THE SHOULDER TOUCH.

"Home, finally."

That was Hyunshik's initial thought as he stepped inside his house after pushing his luggage in first. Closing his eyes briefly, he leaned against the door to gather some energy, but the three large dogs that had missed him were jumping on him, obstructing his way.

"Did you three behave? I hope you did. Let's go inside," he said, although the dogs only understood his hand gesture, rushing to the living room.

He refrained from asking Kyro or Tai any favors to avoid getting in the way of their respective jobs and doubted if they would be there, however, the familiar scent in the air revealed Tai's presence.

Correct in his assumption, Tai was indeed there. When the other man called his name, Hyunshik turned to look at him. "I didn't know you would be here." The older man smiled, taking off his jacket and leaving it on the couch. Observing him as he walked closer, his arms secured him into a tight embrace. "Missed you…" He didn't say anything else for a moment, simply relaxing in the hug. "Were you alone here? Aren't you with Kyro?" He asked, lifting a hand to place it on the other's cheek. "How nice to see you after almost a month."

Cooking, a skill and an art that Hyunshik did not master but admired greatly, especially when Tai was the one in charge. While in his day-to-day life, the older of the two sought to maintain control of his business, once he entered the kitchen, the other man could have his way with Hyunshik.

He might have gone a bit overboard with the purchase of ingredients, or rather, decorations for the gingerbread house, but it was the first time they were making one, and it didn't hurt to have options. The large island in the center of the kitchen transformed into a construction stage, with the main pieces already out of the oven and cooled for use.

Hyunshik rolled up his sleeves and washed his hands again before standing next to Tai. Assembling the house became a teamwork affair, and despite the little mishaps, he was having fun. "Do you want to use these chocolates to build a fence around the house?" he asked, snapping a piece to try. "Mm! This is really good," he said, delighted, offering a piece to Tai. Since he rarely indulged in sweets, the chocolate was a delightful surprise. "Good, right? Let me taste it again," he smiled, leaning in to kiss Tai's lips deeply. "Even better," he whispered, just an inch away from him.

※ Hyunshik sighed as Tai's hand slipped out of his. The older of the two could spend his time as he wished, managing to settle in and enjoy his freedom to dedicate enough time to the two men who had captured his heart. Unlike him, Tai had to be at his restaurant; there was no way the other man wouldn't fulfill his duty there.

"Hey… I'll take you there. We still have enough time," Hyunshik said as he checked the time on his watch. "Your coat is on the bed." Observing Tai's apparent search, he fidgeted with the car keys at the entrance. The other man nearly opened the door, but Hyunshik was quick enough to grab his hand and pin him against the wall, holding his hand above his head with a smile. "Not so fast." He was now trapped. The car keys ended up in his pocket to free his hand, the same hand that cupped Tai's cheek to kiss him deeply.

A brief moment of intimacy, passionate and intense. Unfortunately, it had to end. Hyunshik broke the kiss, took his hand, and opened the door to walk to the car. "We can go now."

Hyunshik was far from prudent, he clearly had no intention of being discreet and looked him up and down with a smile, more like a smirk. The man walked closer to Tai, reaching to grab the hairdryer and running his fingers through his still-damp hair. "Let me help you."

Hyunshik wore a soft smile while staring at Tai, his hand fiddling with the empty glass in front of him. The conversation, though entertaining, wouldn't go any further. It was time to head back to the rented apartment. And so ended the last business event of the year.

The luxurious dinner, the various conversations, and the financial interests had to stay in the hotel where the event had taken place. This time Tai was the only one with him, but all three of them would be together again in a couple of days.

The car ride lasted 10 or 15 minutes long, their surroundings were calm, and both tried to be as quiet as possible while going up to the apartment. Hyunshik tugged on his tie and undid the top button of his shirt, his shoes had to stay at the entrance.

🤥 LYING - are they good liars? do they have tells to show they're lying?

Ren: No, he isn't and he knows it. lol He can't look at someone and lie to them, he knows that if he needs to say something he will have to, even if that causes momentary stress. You can tell he is having a hard time telling a lie when he goes around the subject, and he won't even look the person in the eyes.

Hyunshik: No, he is not a good liar. He's practical and straightforward, he sees lying as a waste of time. Some truths are hard to say and hard for people to hear but he believes it's better to face it when it's still possible to handle the situation. If he thinks it's something not worth saying, he will move on instead of putting excuses. lol

Minkyu: This little trickster on the other hand... He is mischievous, he will lie if he has something in mind but won't play around when it's a serious matter. It's hard to tell when he's lying but he will be more quiet than usual unless it's a white lie to tease someone, his smirk will say it all.

None of them believe in ghosts nor have they had any related experience.~

💥 COLLISON - what emotions do they have trouble dealing with?

Ren: He is empathic, he understands people's emotions but he has trouble dealing with his own emotions, he uses art to express everything but what frustrates him the most is when his body can't keep up with what he wants to do.

Hyunshik: He has trouble expressing his appreciation to people, but he does his best to do it with acts or presents but sometimes he feels it's not enough.
