Don’t worry about it.

Yeah the project eventually fell to shit, and the whole thing culminated in a knock down, drag out argument when I found out he’d been lying to me to get out of helping with the work. So the project is over, and I’m doing my own thing now. We later talked on the phone and he apologized (more for the stuff said during the argument than for the way he acted when we were working on the project), and I apologized for the tone in which I aired my various grievances. We’re still cordial, but we won’t ever be friends like we were before this whole thing, because I can’t be close friends with people who’ve lied to me like that.

That’s okay - it’s still going on. We sort of had it out today, and while I’m still mad at him, I think the project has enough promise that I’m willing to deal with the frustration. As for our friendship, it will probably never be back to normal, but whatever. I have plenty of friends, and I prefer it when they treat me as well as I treat them.

I'm trying... but he's convinced that I'm totally out of line, so I'm not sure if there's any way to reconcile this.

I can't - he created the show, and is the host, and is the one with the connections to the university athletes we need for the segments.

But I know if I leave it will all fall apart - he can't get anything done in reasonable amounts of time, and he always has an excuse for not prioritizing this. He's more of a big picture person, and doesn't care about the details.
