You are warned - lengthy post ahead. . The latest @hogwartsrunningclub event - coming up June 18! The event is the Sirius Half Marathon. I managed to get it done in a matter of four days, and even a mile over. Let's face it, I don't think there is any way Christopher would have hung with me for like 3 hours doing 13.1 miles in a jogging stroller. I don't care that it took me a few days, all I care is I'm doing it, and doing #somuchgood in the process. I love our latest charity, @missionk9 - so proud running for this event to help our amazing four legged friends who have served us. We all know I'm a sucker for dogs. . Also going on in #HRC - our #hufflescuffle - and my team - #transfiguredteacups - won our first round against 3 other teams! Yeah! #huffleTUFF . I am so grateful for being part of the HRC community the last year and a half. I am surrounded by the most awesome running community around the world. (Literally we have people across the globe!) No matter what stage I've been in: from newbie testing the bounds after foot surgery (3 years post op now!), to pregnant, to sleep deprived mom with a newborn, to jogging stroller mom, my entire #HRC group, my team of badgers #hrchustlepuff17, and snek-bestie-Slytherin @meliimamiii - are always there with raised wands cheering every step taken. . I have hardly ever posted publicly about any running. Despite having started in January 2015 (about 6-7 months post op foot surgery), I only ever posted sporadically. I think deep down I never really felt like I had any sort of bragging rights or any accomplishments to say about it. Sort of like an imposter in running shoes for 2+ years. Maybe because it was new and never felt like that was something that could also help define me. Then a few weeks ago I stepped back and looked at all these finisher medals I've been accumulating between @rundisney virtual runs, HRC, and a few local runs... and it occurred to me... Hey, I'm really proud of myself. I want to do more and go further! I'm not keeping it on the down low anymore. I've learned through some amazing groups that this is something to be proud of! πͺπ»ππΌ#hogwartsrunningclub #charitymiles
