My nephew @LeftyKnew mentioned the Gin Old Fashioned to me a couple of years ago and I thought he was daft. Until I made it. Same recipe as a standard Old Fashioned, just swap out whisky for gin. Build in a shaker: two ounces your choice of gin, 2 dashes bitters (which gives it some color), about 1/2 teaspoon of simple syrup based on your own preference (if you muddle a sugar cube thatโs about one teaspoon) and garnish with orange peel. Shake or stir, pour into an iced coupe or rocks glass.
