so my friend surprise-posted me a christmas card today. imagine my surprise when I open it and a little Noot falls out.

this ratty lil joker color scheme feather teaser was one of the few toys howl stayed interested in on the days he was feeling bad and now cal has started picking it up and carrying it around the house with him all the time. he brings it to us throughout the day and drops it and waits for us to play with him. the past few nights he’s been bringing it to bed and setting it beside him before curling up to sleep. when i leave in the morning the first thing he does is pick it up and start carrying it around while doing his “attention me!” call like he usually does with his babies (also pictured). da legacy of a life will be carried on past its end by those who cared even with beasts crazy world

Actually I will not shut up about how I would kill for a Howl's moving castle movie that follows the events of the book instead of going off the rails four chapters in. I love the worldbuilding that gets scrapped by the movie. I love the development Sophie goes through and the fact that no woman in the book is depicted in a way that makes me feel gross inside. I am gripping studio ghibli by the shoulders and shaking the entire studio repeatedly. Please give me money and let me write and direct a good film please please please
Just finished Howl's moving castle (the book) and that one post wasn't lying. Howwell is really welsh and it is one of the funniest parts of it
