Usually Summer had no problem with distancing herself from a case. However, when the case involved the murder of both parents – leaving the child or children alone – it became difficult for her to do so. Much like the case the department was given just this morning. Reviewing the file at her desk, there were some things that stood out to her. The most obvious one being that the daughter, Blaire, left the residence shortly after the murders. A certain detail that was oddly suspicious.
So when it was announced that the daughter had arrived, Summer wasted no time in retrieving the file on her desk and leaving for the interrogation room. Upon reaching the room, she opened the door and stepped inside, introducing herself, "I'm detective Riley. I'll be asking you some questions about your parents." As the door closed behind her, she walked over opposite to her, sitting down. Placing the case file neatly on the desk in front of her, before focusing her direct attention on Blaire. "Where were you last night?" she asked, deciding to jump right in.
