Well, I re-read "Heated Rivalry" and I finally understood why some fans were stubbornly saying that Shane ran away after tuna melt only because of his homophobia. Don't mean to sound cocky or arrogant, not at all, but it was so obvious to me in the episode that it was Ilya to blame. Like I wrote before, his comments about women and "you're nothing but a good mouth" and general narrative "it's just sex, means nothing" made Shane believe that yeah, OK, nothing, and then first names, and it meant smth for SHANE, but not for Ilya (according to Ilya) and Shane couldn't do it anymore, couldn't keep it casual, because it fucking hurt to feel unrequited love. So it was so obvious to me and fans narrative "no, it's Shane's homophobia" drove me crazy, I was like, did we even watch the same show? And then I re-read, as I said, "Heated Rivalry" and finally got it - that's how it was presented in the book. There it was emphasized that yeah, Shane felt smth with Ilya that he had never felt before and it terrified him to death. So yeah, in the book the homophobia was to blame, but not in the show. So just a genuine piece of advice, try to see a bigger picture, try to look at Hollanov in the book and in the show like at two different pairings, because they are. They are completely, absolutely, utterly different - Shane in the book gives in much, much later, he doesn't feel that tenderness towards Ilya for a loooong time, unlike in the show where Shane is a cinnamon roll who fell in love waaaay earlier than in the book. And hollanov's dynamic is completely different, Ilya and Shane are way softer with each other, they even tease each other with smiles. Shane's "Fuck you" always sounds almost like a love confession, so affectionate whereas in the book he mostly "glares" and "stares" and expresses anger. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against this dynamic, moreover, in the book it felt much more like enemies-to-lovers, you could clearly see that they truly couldn't stand each other (except for nuances). But show's dynamic is different - they fell in love with each other way earlier, and their interactions were always much softer, and by show's tuna melt Shane wanted much more than he wanted by that time in the book. So don't mix Jacob's hollanov with Rachel's, they're completely different. And I'm grateful for both versions of them.
It would be great if I didn't have to pay for classes right when I get paid
the moth attacked us specifically my face
if I had someone to bring me fries and chicken fingers and touch my butt and play with my hair then I'd be really really happy

A chicken
"Oh my! I had never considered poultry to be an option. Why, dressing up as some sort of fowl could be seen as quite the life experience. It's not often you see life from the eyes of such a lively animal so praised for it's taste.... Wait.... Dear anon, you aren't informing me of your wish for me to dress as such only to attempt to eat me, correct?"
