The final problem in a nutshell:
Baker street gets blown up (the way things were), John integrates different aspects of his psyche (Eurus [repressed love- Euros, eros], the little girl, the governor, the Garridebs), "Holmes killing Holmes™", Nemo [no one] Holmes (we turn the legend of Sherlock Holmes that John Watson wrote back into the real man). It's about John so "it's all about Sherlock", John undergoes a baptism (the well), and they return home with a fresh start. (The plane was taking the little girl [John's inner child] home). The 221B at the end is a little too tidy than we remember it being...
And oh, the lantern light was bright when John was rescued from the well. (and a cleaner, better stronger land will lie in the sunshine when the storm has cleared.)
