#howes cavern

Now, not every pic from Howe Cavern came out perfectly. A good third were blurred or distorted through the darkness. (A good 50 out of over 150 pics taken.) But I do love some of the effects they give when out of focus and the colored lights completely change the atmosphere. Now the last two pics are a bit special. Originally they were too dark to see anything, so I popped them into Photoshop and adjusted the exposure to see what I had captured. I don’t remember where in the cave the first one came from, but I like referring to it as the ‘heart of the cave’. The other is a chained off passage which is only open for the more advanced tours. I love how eerie it looks and teasing you with what other marvels lay beyond.

Even more Howe Cavern pics. Most of these are from the ‘Winding Way’ section of the cave. I really love how even the pics give the disorienting vibe which comes from the narrow and winding passage.

More Howe Cavern pics. Was really fun returning to this cave, since I had not been in many years. Plus a nice 45-50F was so nice when it was over 90F on the surface.

Recently went to Howe Cavern. (Howes Cave, NY) Figured I’d share some pics I took with the only light being that which was laid down for tourists to see. (Personally I think they looked much better this way than with the flash on; give you a more real feeling of the cave.)
