Now, though, I’ve finished with Nano and suddenly, it’s Christmastime. I hadn’t realized how fast that month in between Halloween- my favorite holiday- and Christmas had gone. It blew by so quickly that now here we are, nearing one of the most infamous holidays of the year, and I’m not ready.

I’ve decided to take a bit of relaxation time from my book so that I can give it a fresh breath upon returning to it, and I’ve added to it here and there, but when I truly want to just sit down and dive headfirst back into it, I get stopped. I mean, there’s definitely a lot more distractions than there was before. Real life has jumped back into the fray and my reprieve to write has passed.

So, for those of you who write, how to do you stay focused? It’s always nice to see how other writers pass by their laziness/unwillingness/lack of motivation to pen those words dying to get out. Especially in such a busy time like now, at the end of the year? What with the Net Neutrality thing also breathing down our necks, the hassles of figuring out what to get family for Christmas, etc.

It’s hard to concentrate. But!

I’ve decided I want to try to write another Kagamine birthdayfic at the very least. I also plan on *trying* to finish my novel- not finish-finish as in publish it this year- but I want to put the end on it so that I can say I did it... and then start on editing and book two, of course.
