im not gonna say how old i was during covid (internet safety lets go) but i was young. the age where youre meant to go outside and fuck around with friends. the age where youd get dropped off at a friends house at 2 and picked up at 8. got the idea? great.

i was also a VERY lively kid. if youre a moot then you've prolly realized this but im a pretty energetic and happy person. but back then, imagine me rn x 10. like i was HAPPY. i liked everything in my life, including school.

i had friends at school, i liked my teachers, i liked my school in general. like school wasnt a place that i disliked then, it was js another place i went during the day to and then came home from. and then, out of nowhere, they said "oh, youre not gonna come to school for 2 weeks" and everyone went "yay!". then those two weeks became three, then four, and before you knew it, a whole year.

a whole year, we didn't leave our houses. for 365 days, the only time i would step outside was to let my dog out.

being at home all the time at such a young age, especially when that wasn't something i used to do, literally fucked me over. the good grades i used to get in school, my extrovertedness, my happiness, my interests - everything changed. i got shit grades the next two years, i stopped talking to everybody i saw, i stopped caring about my dance and everything else i used to like. i half-assed it all. i became lazy.

I was in my room, I felt like vomiting and ran to the bathroom, but guys, because I was holding in the vomit, this shit came back THROUGH MY NOSE

I threw up on the floor and couldn't breathe for a few minutes

it's simple, in their respective movies they end up in a situ8tion of vulnera8il8ty with a man/8oy who has power over them in some form or fashion and violence is inflicted upon them until they give the man/8oy what he wants in the form of acknowledgement and affection, and the audience (at least in america) reads it 8y standard as them secretly really liking him when in real8ty they're just doing what they have to to survive their circumstances.
