Hey there, the card Gaddock Teeg prevents players from casting certain noncreature spells, but does that mean he counters them? If I were to flash Gaddock Teeg on to the battlefield in response to someone casting Wrath of God, would the board wipe resolve?
No, Gaddock Teeg isn’t a counterspell.
Teeg has to be on the battlefield before the spell is cast in order to prohibit its casting. If the spell has already been cast, then there’s nothing he can do about it.

I've got a dimir fanwalker on my sideblog called Craven, an Aven from Amonkhet who sparked during the Hour of Devastation and planeswalked to Shadowmoor. He witnessed the Great Aurora, and decided to stay and study it to see if he could use it to restore Amonkhet to its previous glory. However, whenever he casts his Aurora magic on something, it always makes things worse... but he knows if he just keeps researching, he's certain it'll restore Naktamun and put an end to the Eternal Nightmare.
He reminds me a lot of my walker, Vaset! I like him :D
