Josh Gillet was able to design, and build his very own dream home for only one hundred and twenty-five thousand pounds, and within a time frame of three months. The home comes with stellar features, such as a rooftop terrace, and is wide, airy and spacious.

So how was Gillet able to build a large spacious, multi-storey home within three months? The answer is simple: He used shipping containers to build a modular home.

How Was The House Constructed?

The home is dubbed the ‘Flying Box’ and was designed using five ‘high cube’ shipping containers, each one measuring over forty feet long. The containers were put together on Gillet’s plot of land that he purchased. The design for the house was done by Gillet himself, as he works for an architectural firm called 2A Design.
