There are lots of ways to type Greek letters: you can dig them out of a character map, briefly hop over to a Greek keyboard, or type with Unicode code points if you can remember them. I found that all of these methods broke my flow of typing, so I wrote a brief AutoHotkey macro to help me type them more quickly (in any program).

This macro consists of a series of hotstring definitions like:

:*:!delta!::δ

which specifies that typing !delta! should produce δ, and typing !Delta! or !DELTA! should produce Δ. The * between the first two colons means that an ending character (like <space> or <return>) is not required to do the hotstring replacement; the capitalization behavior is default.
