It wasn’t like her to be anxious like this, she was always so calm even when looking in the face of monstrous things. Jitters vibrated her kneecaps, hands and of course, her ankles. It had been so long since she had last seen him and she wasn’t sure what to expect. She wondered why it was that he hadn’t sought her out yet. It added a great deal of worry that weighed down her thoughts. He had his reasons, she assumed. After all, they would have to be discreet. Which is why she was dressed head to toe in black and her face was covered by a black veil. Initially the thought would make it seem like she stuck out more, but she figured it would be a natural sight around the funeral home.
Hiding the picnic basket behind her back, she knocked on the door of what appeared to be his office. Hopefully he wasn’t too busy and he would be in a good mood. Otherwise this spontaneous rendezvous would have been planned for nought. “Hello? I’m looking for a Hayden Zeveros, I was told this was his office, is he in?” She asked sounding as if she had been sobbing. “I heard he was the one to talk to about my husband.” she pretended to sniffle, which was a great contrast to the smirk she wore under her veil.
