How it feels to finally get this shit working again
Dont mind that Mei is gigantic that's easy to fix. The important part is that she's appearing and not throwing an Error.

Been watching The Mighty Boosh and omfg fetus Noel kills me xx
Sweet Honkai God I actually got Card Affliction application from a Card being played to actually work.
Just ooooone little snag.
It's coded to apply Electrification on the Card's Owner, and not the target.
This is either a really easy fix, or a massive headache. Because no basegame Affliction does stuff to the enemies like what I want to do.
I am so happy that this works.
It activates on the first (X) drawn card(s), checks its type, and then applies a fitting HoT Affliction depending on type.
It SHOULD skip over if a card already has an affliction, and it SHOULD skip over cards that arent Attacks/Skills/Powers.
I say should, because looking at the code and - considering that it is working - my experience tells me that it should work the way I understand it to be working. But there might be some case where, idk, if all 5 cards are already Afflicted it throws an error or something? Something I wouldn't know.
But actually I just tested it with a count of 7 and no issues here.
I am so happy that this works.
So you know that one electric guy in Act 3 that Galvanizes your Powers to make them deal damage to you if you play them?
Well, looking at its code, it only checks at start of combat and when a card is added to combat.
I might be able to add a check to HoT's base card model that is "when drawn, if HoT cards are Galvanized, remove it"
Because, you know, Herrscher of Thunder. And she's being attacked by lightning. Like R u Stuupid?
Not sure if I'll do this tbh, But Imma keep it in my back pocket.

For HoT you could do ER references, it’d give you like, 13 more cards.
Also could reference her other battlesuits since she has quite a few. She even has the new Qirin-themed one
So far I am using a lot of names of moves from HoT, so I'll probably continue doing that and use parts of her other battlesuits.
ER stuff I'll use if I need it. Like, yeah I can use it, but what should the Flame-Chaser cards do??
Atm I'm thinking of having Kiana related stuff for most of the Rare cards. Like, frame them as memories. Things HoT Mei treasures the most.
Well today I've gotten HoT's core card archetype working, and I've implemented all working models for character select background, combat, and rest site. (Merchant softlocks due to lack of Power cards, so it cant generate the shop)
So... I am already in the "well fuck, time to come up with 80 cards again" phase.
Yeah yeaaaah having cards that consumes Electrification to deal more damage feels a lot better than just stacking Electrification endlessly on enemies.
Ngl this is already pretty fun. And since I cant get affliction overlay to work, Imma just see if I cant make the card glow or something if they are afflicted with Electrified...
