Look, if my first physics exam was a 40% and Iām walking out with a 90% (A) then so can you.
You can get through that one horrible class. Shit happens, adapt.

Donāt you feel sometimes that your body just is too clumsy for this shit?
I mean, some days a quite good at class, and others (like today) are just an absolute fail:
My spotting suck (as you already know) and I kind of forgot how to do chaines. If you ask me, thatās a combination made in hell.
In every balance on one leg I tried, my supporting leg just kept losing rotation and of course I only managed to accomplish one balance. Strangely it was an arabesque that I had never really dared to try before. But I only succeeded on one side, of course.
My jumps. Usually they are not that bad. I mean, I cannot accomplish complicated things but simple jumps are ok: nice height, pointed feet, on time with the music. But not today. Oh, today I made up EVERY ARMāS POSITION, my Ć©chappĆ©s were messy and my feet showed little turnout while being loosely pointed.
Letās not forget the pirouettes. I couldnāt even make a slightly decent one. Not even one.
In short: I had a horrible class, I just wanted it to end since I couldnāt make anything right.
On the bright side: my tendu in general is quite better. Thatās the only silver lining today.
Note to all future professors out there: Ā If your assignment is set up in a way such that the reference section will be significantly larger than the rest of the assignment, then something is probably wrong with your assignment.
Also, annotated bibliographies are stupid. Ā
Iām three pages into the assigned reading for this class that is based entirely off of the phraseĀ āwicked problemsā, and is has not/incorrectly cited direct quotes numerous times, and has randomly shifted tenses.Ā
Oh, and the author is our guest speaker today.
This is the eval I wrote for one of my classes this semester, enjoy.
(Professorās name) while having a lot of knowledge of cities in the Islamic nation, did not give anything more in class than what I could look up on Wikipedia for myself. He did not seem interested in teaching about the cities that were in America/the cities that most people knew about, and did not go more than surface deep. The small, required assignments were not clearly defined/left up to interpretation, which sounds ok, but for someone who needs very clear guidelines, this is not helpful. I dreaded going to this class every Tuesday/Thursday, and feel like I learned nothing, and have wasted my time. The fact that we have to write an 8-12 page paper comparing two cities, while doing nothing like this throughout the entire semester is absolutely outrageous. The lectures were read verbatim off of every slide, and proved unhelpful to my retaining any information. It was very easy to space out, because the lectures were not interesting, nor did I want to be here. There was too much terminology being brought up in class, and none of it was written down; nor were foreign names. There was one class where a certain architect was being brought up, and I never saw his name anywhere, and it was said repeatedly that his name would appear on the final. Wish I knew what it was so I could study it! In summation, I feel that some people are just not meant to teach, and perhaps this professor is one of them. Perhaps a career as a model for Nordstrom is more appropriate. It is very easy to look out in the rest of the class and see students eyes rolling in the back of their head, and not paying attention. I have learned more about world cities from the movies and tv shows I watch. The lack of structure in this is very upsetting, especially from someone who supposedly graduated from Cornell.
