The philosopher tried to open one of the windows, but it was a fruitless venture. Whoever had planned this was making sure that they stayed in here.

Dear lord, how many days has it been? Well, if you had the mental capacity to register the number, you’d realize that it’s been four whole days since Jenova had turned on those damn alarms.
Constantly they turn back on and off, however, just as Jenova had said, they go for five straight minutes, whether you woke up to them, or not. If you didn’t, the alarm paused just for a moment, only to instantly loop itself to begin the cycle again. It was utterly painstaking, and you had the feeling you might have hearing loss once this is all said and done.
You know, for awhile there, the alarm was going for literally fifteen minutes. It was crazy, though it seemed once the seventeenth minute struck, the alarm just shut off. Pretty weird, if you were able to actually register the fact that had happened. You wonder why it didn’t go for its normal five minute cycle.
Oh well, you’re not complaining.
Walking around in a half-awoken daze, about twenty minutes after the alarm shut off abruptly, you heard the screech of one...
