tzekel-kan‘s acolyte (guy with the jaguar hood) serves as his eyes and ears. he’s one of the warriors guarding el dorado and any time there’s an arrest of any kind (villagers committing crimes or outsiders found on the island) he’s right there. every capture is reported back to tzekel-kan posthaste. the priest gets first pickings in victims for his sacrifices, with lower offences sometimes settling for their cattle to use in his rituals.

once you’re bound before tzekel-kan he hesitates. something about the way you carry yourself, the way you look… you share similarities with an icon in his codex, not quite divine but above a mortal. potential to grow more holy with devotion to the gods and discipline. you’ll never come close to his own status of course

he decides to keep you as a server in the temple and you have no say in the matter. but at least you aren’t being sacrificed or sent to xibalba

from that day on tzekel-kan keeps you under his full control. you’re given many chores in the temple like preparing ritual foods and weaving ceremonial robes according to the priest‘s precise instructions. you’re also expected to follow every rule of his and live your life by guidelines he sets.

tzekel-kan focuses on making you devoted to the gods and to him by aiding him in all his rituals and divinations. he wants you to be the pure and reverent server to match his holiness as enforcer of the gods‘ will

over time his facade will start to crack and his true intentions will slip through. he wants to be the one worshipped by you, the center of your universe. tzekel-kan will think a long time about making you his consort, still far inferior in power and status him of course, before acting on it. the signs are all noticeable, he preens more around you, seeks physical contact more often, you spend nearly every hour of the day performing rituals with him.

you never get to leave his side. but not that you’d be able to do anything about his advances. he’s got you firmly under his thumb - it won’t be long until you’re draped in heavy gold jewellery that might as well be a collar of ownership
