It's not much, but I baked a cake with all of Hooke's favorite ingredients: chocolate, freshly-brewed coffee, and (mascarpone) cheese icing.

Since last year, I've been celebrating Hookemas (July 18 — July 28) as a time to commemorate the achievements of Newton's lesser-known rival.

I doubt if it's a thing that will ever catch on enough to go mainstream, but it would mean the world to me if everyone reading this would take a few moments to remember a man whose greatest fear was being forgotten.
